The pearl for my engagement ring just came - a gold baroque globule, looks different from every angle & in every light. Impossible to capture in two dimensions.
I'm utterly infatuated.
We're commissioning the setting from a local jeweler friend, but right now it seems a shame to cover any of it! Suppose it would be impractical just to carry it around like a pebble, though. Would lose it for sure
